An emergency does not wait for office hours, and neither does NorthStar Emergency Center. Our freestanding emergency room on Cypresswood Drive is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for adults, children and infants with sudden illnesses, injuries and potentially serious symptoms.
Our emergency physicians have access to on-site digital X-ray, CT scanning, bedside ultrasound, EKG and laboratory testing. That means evaluation, diagnostic testing and initial treatment can often happen in one location during the same visit.
Use the categories below to understand the types of emergencies NorthStar evaluates. These summaries do not diagnose a condition or replace a physician's assessment. Symptoms often overlap, and the emergency team may use more than one type of testing to identify the cause.
